Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and lead the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Maintenance Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks efficiently.

Project Management:

  • Manage engineering and maintenance projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized projects.

Equipment and Facility Management:

  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of all equipment, systems, and facilities within the hotel.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards./li>
  • Implement and enforce proper safety procedures for the engineering team.

Budget Management:

  • Assist in developing and managing the engineering department budget.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on budgetary performance.

Training and Development:

  • Provide ongoing training to the engineering team on new technologies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Identify skill gaps and work with the Chief Engineer to address training needs.

Emergency Response:

  • Act as a point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating with relevant departments to address and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement emergency response procedures to safeguard guests, staff, and property.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders.
  • Generate reports as required to track key performance indicators and departmental metrics.

Vendor Relations:

  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts when necessary.
