Jewish Moroccan Cooking Classes
La maison Arabe is excited to announce the launch of our new Jewish Moroccan Cooking Classes.
Our classes will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for individuals to enjoy the rich flavours and immerse themselves in the traditions of Jewish Moroccan cuisine.
Classes will be taught by our highly experienced Dadas who are well-versed in the customs of Jewish Moroccan cooking and know all the secrets of Moroccan gastronomy.
Held in a fully equipped kitchen at our secret garden residence, situated 15mn drive from La Maison Arabe. Classes will be held on request and are open to individuals of all skill levels.
Sharing a meal together is one of the most effective ways to feel a connection to one another's heritage and history, we would like to able to provide and share this opportunity to the community.
The curriculum will be as follows:
Time of the course:4 hours
Introduction
- A warm Moroccan welcome drinks served: Dates and milk with orange blossom water.
- An introduction to the culinary team and the history of Jewish Moroccan cuisine
Preparation
- Individual or group préparation and cooking of skhina or fish tagine.
- The art of Hala bread making.
- The ritual of mint tea with herbs
A demonstration of how-to distillate depending on the season of the plants
Cooking session
- Salad Preparation:
1. Eggplants and red bell pepper
2. Tomatoes and preserved lemon. - Dessert Demonstration of Moufleta - A Moroccan bread traditional for the end of Passover served with Amlou (A brown paste made of roasted almonds, honey, and argan oil)

Storytelling session
- Learn about Moroccan culture from our special invited guest.
