December 2016 - Born and educated in Denpasar, Indonesia, where his hospitality career also began, passionate hotelier Bagus rises to take the helm as General Manager of The Residence Bintan; bringing on board over 18 years of industry experience across Asia.

Graduated from the Tourism and Economic Faculty of Udayana in Indonesia; specialising in financial management, Bagus’ proven leadership skills and vast expertise had swiftly advanced a flourishing career path for him. Prior to his appointment, he enjoyed successful tenures with established hotel companies such as Club Med Resort Asia, including Kabira - Japan, Maldives and Yabuli-China, Accor Hotels, Karma Kandara and Karma Jimbaran Resorts, and Alila Jabal Akhdar, Oman where he was instrumental in realigning the financial operations and structures. His significant experience in senior finance roles and the application of sound financial strategies had garnered stronger financial profitability and operational efficiency for these hotels.

Well-poised to lead the newest addition to Cenizaro Hotels & Resorts on its next stage of growth as the group marks yet another milestone in its Asian expansion; Bagus believes that successes arise from the focus and commitment of aligned teams. “Our collective work in teams can, and will become more productive when we apply our dedication to our roles daily.” he adds.
Bagus, who takes joy in being close to nature has found his “sanctuary” at The Residence Bintan cocooned amidst nature’s splendour. He intends to build on the lushness of the space with the resort’s very own island-grown organic herb and vegetable garden; reaping the freshest local harvests to enhance the guests’ dining experience.
