Located in the Indian Ocean, the couple will scuba dive around 9 meters below the water for the wedding ceremony, accompanied by a photographer to capture the special moment. Surrounded by the crystal blue sea, spectacular marine life and vibrant corals, the backdrop of the ceremony creates an extraordinary romantic experience for newlyweds.

The memorable Underwater Matrimony package from The Residence Maldives includes:

Underwater wedding ceremony with photographer
2 boat dives, inclusive of boat transfers, and rental of equipment (buoyancy compensators and regulator)

Couples can also mark the special occasion and help the ocean’s reefs by planting their love undersea with the Coral Frame Conservation.  The Residence Maldives has partnered with Euro-Divers to offer guests the chance to learn more about the coral with an in-house instructor and help the environment by planting a frame of live coral. Each handmade frame has an identification number enabling guests to come back and visit their coral frames. The Dive Centre will also share regular updates and images of the coral frame’s growth with the guests, to monitor its growth even at home.

The Underwater Matrimony package starts from USD 2,000 ++ per couple. The additional Coral Frame Conservation starts from USD 150 ++ per frame, including a free snorkeling or sunset dolphin cruise for one person. (All prices are exclusive of taxes and service charge)
