May 2017 – Cenizaro Hotels and Resorts announces the appointment of Bruce Bowan as General Manager at The Residence Zanzibar. A French national, Bruce brings on board over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Graduated from the Hotel Institute of Montreux, Switzerland, in Hospitality Business Management, Bruce’s passion for the hospitality industry grew. With his strong leadership skills and business acumen, Bruce is versatile at operating both large and boutique hotels and resorts.

Prior to his appointment, Bruce has had successful tenures as General Manager at various high end boutique properties in Mauritius, Seychelles and Maldives. His most recent role was at COMO Cocoa Island Resort & Spa where he headed a team that achieved several recognized awards and recognitions.

Displaying inspirational leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to his work, Bruce is excited to lead The Residence Zanzibar and continue to position it as the leading luxury accommodation with distinctive levels of personalised service.  “My main focus is to continue enhancing The Residence Zanzibar’s hallmark of a richly personalised guest service approach, while spearheading operational excellence to drive the resort to the next level”, he adds.
