The Residence Mauritius

The Residence Mauritius is situated on the east coast of Mauritius along a mile-long beach of immaculate white sand, fringed by the azure Indian Ocean and tropical gardens.

Mauritian ‘Dine with a Local’ Cooking Class (USD 40+ per person)

The Residence Mauritius, offers guests an exotic cooking journey with Charlène the local chef who spent her childhood living in the coastal village of Trou D’Eau Douce and Belle Mare. With her passion and flair for cooking, she opened her own restaurant on the Bella Mare Public Beach and became known for her popular and tasty local dishes. Before the cooking class, Charlène will take guests to the local market of Central Flacq to purchase fresh local ingredients. During the class, guests will learn to make dishes such as local chicken or fish curry, local vegetables and pickles. In the evening, guests will be invited to Charlène’s house at Trou D’eau Douce to sample the local delicacies.  

Cinema under the Stars with Pop-up Bar (Entry cost: USD 30+ per couple)

Experience an alfresco cinema at 9pm every Friday at The Residence Mauritiaus. The Cinema Under the Stars showcases a range of movies each week with comfy bean bag seating. Complete with freshly made popcorn and a pop-up bar, the evening provides a fun night on the beach.
