The Sugar Museum (Aventure Du Sucre)
L’Aventure du Sucre is the only museum in Mauritius which is dedicated to the history of sugar. set in the former Beau Plan Sugar factory, the museum has re-created the ambiance of a traditional sugar mill. The various steps of sugar production from the fields to the mills and there from to the finished product shipped to western markets are exhibited. L’Aventure du Sucre aspires to be a pedagogical tool for students and tourists alike. An opportunity to enjoy the special sugars and the Mauritian rum.
