Douz has an arid desert climate. The hottest period is during the summer months, from June to October, with temperatures peaking in July between 30 and 50°C. Winters are characterised by warm days and chilly nights with some rain.

The Residence Douz is located a 2-hour drive (134 km) from Tozeur–Nefta International Airport, a 1.5-hour drive (132 km) from Gabes-Matamata International Airport, and 3 hours 45 mins (220 km) from Djerba International Airport.
