History & Culture

Stone Town - Explore this charming town that is the cultural heart of Zanzibar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through bustling markets and winding alleyways that have not changed much in centuries, and capture a feel of Zanzibar’s history in sites such as the Old Fort and the Sultan’s palace.
Traditional Zanzibar - Visit the village of Muyuni in the southern district of Zanzibar, where you can meet the locals and learn more about their way of life and traditions including rope making, makuti plating and basket weaving.
Taraab Recital & Dance - Relive the age of Arabian royalty with a tour around the ruins of Mtoni Palace. Amid candlelight and incense, enjoy a magical evening of traditional Taraab music and dance.

Spice Tour - Indulge your senses with a visit to a rural spice plantation where you can uncover the secrets of Zanzibar’s spices straight from the source.
Extreme Cooking - Craft your own menu of culinary discoveries with our Extreme Cooking experience, choosing from options that include exploring a spice garden, wine tasting, and buying a freshly caught fish from a nearby fishing village and learning to cook it in traditional style.
Natural Wonders
Discover Zanzibar’s natural treasures on journeys that take you deep into the forest, island hopping and on safari!
Jozani Forest Reserve - Encounter the treasures of Jozani Forest, home to the rare Red Colobus Monkey that is unique to Zanzibar. The forest and its large mangrove swamp are home to other unique species including the Sykes monkey as well as an amazing array of butterflies and birds.
Prison Island - A 30-min boat ride brings you to the small island of Changuu, also known as Prison Island. Walk through the ruins of the old prison built in 1893, but later used as a quarantine centre. Look out for beautiful peacocks and the giant tortoises, some over a century old, who have made the island their home.
Safari in Selous - For a full day’s adventure to remember, take a short flight to the famous Selous Game Reserve, where you will go on safari, have lunch in the middle of the reserve, and go on a river boat cruise offering sightings of hippos and crocodiles.

Ocean lovers are spoilt for choice – from snorkelling to scuba diving, from big game fishing to spearfishing, from extreme adventure to an extremely relaxing cruise.
Safari Blue - Head out on a traditional dhow sailing boat for a day of island hopping and snorkelling!
Dolphin Tour - On a traditional dhow sailing boat, cruise to Menai Bay Conservation Area and swim up close with dolphins.
Scuba Diving - Discover spectacular marine life and coral reefs at Zanzibar’s most exclusive dive spots. PADI dive programmes are available.
Big Game Fishing - Experience the exhilaration of reeling in a big catch from a 25-foot Catamaran!
Extreme Blue Water Adventure - Customise your day out on the ocean, selecting from activities such as a trip on a private speedboat, dolphin or whale watching, and snorkelling.
Extreme Blue Water Spearfishing - Try your hand at spearing big game fish while free diving, carried out in a highly selective and ethical manner. Excellent for both experienced and novice divers as coaching is available.
Sunset Cruise - Sail into the sunset on a traditional dhow. Sink back onto plump cushions, caressed by the gentle ocean breeze, and mesmerised by the romance of Africa as the beautiful scenery drifts by.
